From Where I Stand

Film: From Where I Stand (Whole Movie)

Finally a film that tell the stories of young black gay men. This film pushes us forward and knocks the hinges off the door. From Where I Stand is a documentary that allows for young black gay voices to be heard talking about their opinions and perspectives on topics ranging from Family, AIDS, Community, and Spirituality.

“This is a documentary I directed for Aid Atlanta. It’s a little long, at just over an hour, but watch at your own speed. Hope you enjoy. It was a chance to give the Young Black Gay Youth a Voice. We just inquired about some common issues facing the youth and asked for their P.O.V. it was enlightening for all. They mirrored some of my early experiences, and at other times the responses, views and attitudes were totally foreign to me, but never the less refreshing. Let The Conversation Begin.”- Alvin Agarrat
